Data exports, imports and workspace backups
Export operational records, move carefully between systems and keep recoverable workspace backups outside the live server.
Export the required scope
Use filters before exporting products, customers or operational data. Treat exports as sensitive because they can include commercial and customer information.
Validate before importing
Test a small file, preserve stable SKUs and external identifiers, and review validation errors before processing a full catalog. Imports should not be used to bypass auditable inventory movements.
Keep independent backups
Download backups to protected storage outside the production account. A generated file is useful only when access is controlled and the restore procedure has been tested.
